Thoughts about this build…

I designed these two tables as a pair of contrasting end tables: from the design (river v.s. cast) to the epoxy color (bright and pigmented blue v.s. opaque black). They were meant to showcase different styles and jog the imagination.

The turqoise blue is still one of my favorite colors, and it complimented the Ambrosia, Spalted Maple slab very nicely. The opaque black epoxy has the effect of focusing the gaze onto the walnut, which seems to pop even more, most likely due to the huge contrast between the complete blackness of the epoxy and the colorful grain of the walnut.

The clean cut legs kept the pieces looking sharp, while also adding character and uniqueness.
